Garbage / Trash Can leaking or damaged...
According to the City you have two choices:

1. To get a garbage container repaired, call the Solid Waste Division at 273-3302. It is their responsibility to maintain your container. You will be asked to place the container in the yard where it can be seen from the road. Don't leave the container at the road to avoid theft. The container will be repaired within 5 to 7 business days. They will return the container on the same day that they collected it for repair.  In the meantime, you may continue to place garbage in the container until they collect it for repair. If the container is out for service repair on garbage collection day, then they will collect your garbage in bags at that time.

2. To get a second garbage container, there is a one-time maintenance fee of $75. Payment can be made at the Customer Service Department at the Municipal Center. Once payment has been received, your new container will be delivered within 5 to 7 business days.

Curb your Pet

Thanks!
Please pick up after you pet.  The smell is unpleasant and unsightly for your neighbors.  Not only is it common courtesy, but it is against the ROPOA Protective Covenants, Exhibit 1, Para. 31.  Maryville city codes also require that dogs and cats wear tags and do not run at large.  Noisy dogs, and vicious dogs or cats are also prohibited.  Call the Animal Control / Shelter at 681-2241 to report violations. See the  Maryville Codes Quick Guide

If your PET goes MISSING, please ask that a notice be placed on the "Royal Oaks Neighbors and Friends" Facebook Site.

Before Digging

First of all, all "tree plantings and removal must be approved by the Architectural Review Committee," per ROPOA Protective Covenants, Exhibit 1, Para. 19.  After getting appropriate approval/s, please call 811 Before you Dig.   They will arrange to have your utility lines marked.  This is a free service.

Backflow Inspections

The city of Maryville Water Quality Control Department does an annual inspection of residential lawn irrigation system backflow preventers, usually the first week of June. State and Federal regulations require that these devices are tested and inspected at lest annually by the water department in accordance with the city’s Cross-Connection Control Program. Residents with irrigation systems are asked to have the backflow devices installed, de-winterized and operational up to at least the number two shutoff valve of the backflow device in order that the required annual tests may be conducted. Should the system not be operational, city inspectors will activate them and test, or make return trips for those devices not installed, which will result in re-inspection fees being assessed to the customer’s utility account. Questions call the water dept. at 273-3304.
